We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Mulholland Plant Services Ltd, by Thomas Plant Hire, part of the £75m family owned Thomas Group.

The all-share deal brokered by The Hire Exchange, sees the continuation of the Thomas Group’s acquisition driven expansion from £24m to £75m turnover in the last five years.

For Mulholland, it provides a significant strengthening of resources, fleet and service capability with which to expand and support its customers both in Scotland and Nationally.

Mulholland are a long-established and well-respected family business that operates from a substantial 2.7-acre site outside Edinburgh.

The business employs 30 people and services some 500 multi-sector clients, increasingly on a national basis, and well beyond the immediate Scottish Central belt region.

Steve Mulholland, who remains with the new business commented,
